From the Table 1, it is possible to see the basic rooting traits of collection 1 (RILs), collection 2 and collection 3 from the 2013 Hainan experiment. The RDRs of collection 1 were distributed between the values of the two parental lines and ranged from 10.2 to 45.5%. Collection 2 is a natural population and had wider variation than collection 1 for almost all seven traits with RDRs ranging from 3.7 to 67.2%.
