Mentions: The collagen-I expression was significantly higher in albumin-treated cells than in CCM-treated control cells. However, in cells treated with albumin + SCM, the levels of collagen-I protein were lower than that in albumin-treated cells, similar to that in CCM-treated control cells (Fig. 5). These data indicate that SCM inhibits albumin-induced expression of collagen-I, probably via actions on EMT.
