Mentions: The use of stem cells, alone or associated with biomaterials, may be an alternative to the limited amount of bone autografts available and the morbidity induced at the harvest site. Autologous BM is rich in osteoprogenitors and growth factors, as well as cell populations such as stromal cells present in the mononuclear cellular fraction of the BM.
