ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Scapholunate dissociation (rotary scaphoid subluxation)

History: 36 y/o female status post fall on outstretched hand.

Findings: Several images of the left thumb and left wrist demonstrate radiopaque foreign bodies in the soft tissues along the ulnar palmar side of the wrist. There is widening of the scapholunate space and a "ring sign" of the scaphoid. The scaphoid also has a vertical orientation on lateral view. No fractures.

Ddx: rotary scaphoid subluxation scapholunate dissociation
