ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Accessory cardiac Bronchus

History: 21 year-old female status post malignant nerve sheath tumor resection for follow up chest CT.

Findings: Contrast enhanced axial CT images of the chest at the level of the mediastinum in lung window settings are notable for a small blind-ending air-filled column branching medially from the bronchus imtermedius inferiorly toward the mediastinum. Post surgical changes are also noted about the spine.

Ddx: Accessory cardiac bronchus Bronchial fistual Bronchial diverticulum

Dxhow: Classic location on CT scan with no significant pulmonary history to implicate bronchial fistula or diverticulum formation.
