Diagnosis: Melanocytoma of the Iris In a Child History: 12 y.o. Hispanic girl No abnormal pigmentation Intermittent pain OS For 6 weeks Remote h/o trauma OS 6 years previously In no distress until onset of pain No ocular redness No ocular discharge No acuity complaints When she c/o pain Parent noted iris OS “had changed” When iris changed? Unclear if prior to pain onset PMH and ROS Non-contributory No abnormal clotting No recurrent infection hx Findings: Ultrasound: UBM - Solid lesion - No sign internal vascularity - No cystic component - No posterior iris enlargement Exam: Va: 20/20 OD, 20/40 OS Visual Field: WNL confrontation EOM: WNL No RAPD Conjunctiva: Not injected Ant Chamber: Mass - Black, Superior, Pedunculated, draped over pupil, Mid-iris Black pigment on iris Inferior cornea: Pigment patches Gonio: increased angle pigment, Especially inferiorly No vessels on mass Mass abuted cornea Indentations of surface IOP = 12 OU Normal pachymetry No MeSH data available. |
