ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Osteogenesis Imperfecta

History: 13 month old boy who presented for a radiographic skeletal survey to be placed on a registry.

Findings: Marked osteopenia noted on all radiographs. Significant bowing of tibia and fibula with muliple cortical irregularities compatible with prior fractures. Wormian bones noted on occiptal aspect of skull. Skull is also noted to be brachycephalic.

Ddx: Dwarfism: Thanatophoric dwarfism Achondroplasia Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia (SED) Osteogenesis Imperfecta Osteomalacia Osteoporosis Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (esp type VII EDS) Rickets

Dxhow: Clinical and Radiographic evidence confirmed the diagnosis.
