ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Uterine Leiomyoma

History: Patient referred by OB-Gyn for pelvic MRI. No symptoms noted.

Findings: Numerous areas of discrete low signal intensity in the muscle of the uterus and below the serosa. Uterus is irregularly enlarged.

Ddx: -Adenomyosis -Leiomyosarcoma -Endometrial polyps -Endometrial cancer

Dxhow: Findings on MRI

Exam: No specific findings noted. Possibly enlarged and irregular uterus on bimanual exam.

This MRI shows multiple discrete areas of low signal intensity within the uterine muscle and below the uterine serosa.  An irregularly enlarged uterus is also evident.
