ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Liponeurocytoma

History: 75 y.o. man with headaches

Findings: On T1W, there is a large and slightly heterogeneous high signal intensity lesion in the left lateral ventricle. This lesion is dark on the T2W image with fat suppression.

Ddx: • Choroid plexus neoplasm (papilloma or carcinoma) • Ependymoma (with lipoblastic differentiation) • Choroid plexus lipoma • Meningioma with fat ("lipoblastic meningioma") • Liponeurocytoma • Xanthogranuloma of the choroid plexus

Dxhow: histology

Exam: Essentially normal

No MeSH data available.

This is a non-contrast and fat-suppressed T2W axial image. There is a large left lateral intraventricular mass attached to the septum pellucium. With fat suppression, the signal intensity is now very low. This should be lipid material.
