ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Avascular Necrosis Reparative phase on Nuclear Medicine Scan confirmed by MRI appearance.

History: Patient is a military recruit starting her 4th week of Basic Military training with complaints of bilateral foot pain. Patient has no prior medical problems and is on no medications.

Findings: The bilateral Calcanei are both very avid for the Tc99m HDP with less intense uptake on the superior left femoral head.

Ddx: AVN

Exam: PE- normal. Labs- neg for sickle cell trait.
