ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Adrenal Adenoma

History: 40 y.o. woman with Hx Stage IIIB Breast Cancer s/p Left Mastectomy & Lymph Node Dissection

Findings: 2.6cm x 1.9cm Left Adrenal Mass

Ddx: • Metastatic Disease (from her known Breast Ca) • Adrenal Adenoma • Pheochromocytoma • Granulomatous disease • Adrenal Ganglioneuroma • Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma

Dxhow: loss of signal on opposed-phase MRI

Exam: VS, CBC & CMP wnl; No signs of endocrinologic dysfunction.

No MeSH data available.


Axial out of phase image demonstrates marked signal loss compared to in phase imaging consistent with intracellular fat, confirming the diagnosis of adrenal adenoma.
