ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Gastropexy Anchor Appendiceal Foreign Body

History: Pancreatitis with gastrostomy tube placement

Findings: Two sequential CT scans show a metallic gastrostomy tube anchor which after being released into the stomach was incidentally seen lodged within the appendix.

Axial CT images show curvilinear metallic foreing body witin appendix consistent with recently passed gastropexy anchor. No evidence of appendicitis is seen.
