Bronchogenic cyst.

ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Bronchogenic cyst.

History: 17 y.o. girl with a h/o acute intermittent severe abdominal pain. Acute abdominal series obtained in order to evaluate for constipation vs obstruction vs IBD.

Findings: Chest - Sharply marginated, well-circumscribed ovoid mass appx 6cm in length. No mediastinal/tracheal shift. Heart size is normal. Pulmonary vasculature is normal. Lungs are clear. No free air under the diaphragm. Abdomen shows no evidence of osseous abnormality or intraabdominal calcification or mass.

Ddx: Posterior mediastinal mass: neurogenic tumor, (schwannoma, neurofibroma, ganglioneuroma, ganglioneuroblastoma), bronchogenic cyst, esophageal tumor, aortic aneurysm.

Exam: Objective findings c/w constipation vs IBD. No CV or Resp findings noted. Recent labs unremarkable.
