ABSTRACT

Diagnosis: Multiple cranial neuropathies

History: This 36 y.o. woman has multiple cranial nerve palsies, affecting all twelve nerves - but not at the same time.

Exam: CN 1-12 are NOT intact

No MeSH data available.


There is abnormal enhancement of the facial nerve, within the petrous bone.  If not enlarged, this nerve enhancement could represent a viral neuritis - like Bell's Palsy.  However, an enlarged nerve may be a Schwannoma.
