ABSTRACT

Image of p. 160-161, featuring a black and white engraving of the courtroom view of the prisoners dock with wigged and gowned (robed) men sitting and reviewing papers on the left side of the page and and non-wigged men in suits standing milling about on the right side of the page in front of the prisoners dock in the center of the page. The running title on page 160 reads: "The trial of William Palmer." The running title on page 161 reads: "Tenth day, May 24, 1856." There is text underneath the engraving on both pages. In the prisoners dock are four suited men, one on page 160 facing the center of the dock, two on page 161 facing the center of the dock, and one man sitting in the center writing with a quill pen in his right hand facing the men below him outside the dock.
