ABSTRACT

Poster with the top section showing a large picture of the front of the Nobel Prize and smaller pictures of the back of the prizes in physics, chemistry, economic sciences (Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, approximately 350 members), physiology or medicine (Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet, 50 members), literature (Swedish Academy, 18 members), or peace (Norwegian Nobel Committee) circling around it. The prize in economics is the Sveriges Riksbank (Bank of Sweden) Prize in economic sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel. To the right of the picture of the Nobel Prize is a history of the Prize amounts from 1901 to 2001. The history of the Nobel Prize and Alfred Nobel's contributions to science are also listed. A diagram in the center of the poster shows how the nominations are made and the bottom section of the poster has information on Alfred Nobel and a portrait of him sitting at a desk. A short history of the Nobelstiftelsen is also given in the lower section of the poster.
