[Dirty house and clean house]

Sucre : PROCOSI : C.R.S. : Proyecto Social Cardenal Maurer, 19--?

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION / EXTENT: 1 photomechanical print (poster) : col. ; 34 x 43 cm.

ABSTRACT

Multicolor, two-sided poster. One side of the poster depicts a poorly constructed house under a night sky. There are holes in the thatch roof and gaps in the walls. A stream of insects enters the house through the gaps. Four smaller drawings show the insects getting into food and infesting livestock and humans. The insects are likely transmitting Chagas disease, which is often associated with dilapidated housing in Central and South America. The other side shows a well constructed house. Livestock are now housed in a pen away from the house. Four smaller drawings depict homes being repaired, better food storage, and improved hygiene. Only text on poster is publisher information on the side depicting the clean home.
