ABSTRACT
Comparison: None Indication: XXXX-year-old male, pain Findings: Lungs mildly hyperinflated with flattened posterior diaphragm and increased retrosternal airspace. No focal alveolar consolidation, no definite pleural effusion seen. Left hilar calcifications and dense left lower lobe nodules suggest a previous granulomatous process. Overall heart size within normal limits with prominent right atrial convexity, no typical findings of pulmonary edema. No pneumothorax. Impression: 1. Hyperinflated lungs, air trapping versus inspiratory XXXX. 2. Question mild right atrial enlargement, no findings to suggest pulmonary edema. NOTE: The data are drawn from multiple hospital systems.
