Affiliation: Indiana University
ABSTRACT
Comparison: None. Indication: Low back pain. Findings: The heart size and pulmonary vascularity appear within normal limits. The lungs are free of focal airspace disease. No pleural effusion or pneumothorax is noted. Degenerative changes are noted in the spine. The descending thoracic aorta is mildly tortuous. The mediastinum appears somewhat prominent. Impression: 1. Prominent mediastinum. May be due to mediastinal fat. Comparison films, if available, would be useful to determine if this is a chronic appearance. 2. Clear lungs. NOTE: The data are drawn from multiple hospital systems. Show MeSHRelated in: MedlinePlus Request Collection |
